I'll be honest and tell you straight away that I've been wanting a Rambo game for years, ever since the PS2 days, because of one game - Snake Eater. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is considered by many to be the best MGS game, although I personally prefer MGS1. It took snake out of the industrial environments and threw him into the jungle to fend for himself. In many respects, that's exactly what Rambo is.
In the Rambo films, the main focus is stealth. John Rambo always infiltrates compounds in a stealthy manner, but at the same time sets explosives up so that he can make a flashy escape. The studio working on the game are Reef Entertainment, and I am hoping that they "do a Rocksteady" and shock us with quality. Rambo could be fantastic as a game, and all they need to so is copy Metal Gear Solid 3, but add some decent first-person bow and arrow gameplay.
The only problem is, Reef Entertainment do not have the greatest back catalogue as they've worked mainly on Wii ports and PC games, such as Sniper Elite and Rogue Trooper. So they have little HD console experience. I know we're hoping they'll "do a Rocksteady" but it seems unlikely based on their previous games.
