The audio aspect of Ratchet and Clank is also extremely well done.  Starting off with the sound effects the way in which all of the guns have their distinct sounds will really help immerse you in the world.  The quality of the explosions and such also uses the Dolby Digital surround channels very nicely with good use of the subwoofer and rear channels to keep you in tune with everything.

The musical score and voice-work are also exceptional.  The voice-over work in particular has been done to near perfection with great implementation of the story, jokes, etc.

Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction

In terms of game play Ratchet and Clank has always featured a great array of weapons to try out.  The PS3 Tools of Destruction stays on course nicely here as this game features a great many weapons.  There are so many futuristic and cool looking weapons here that you will likely be playing things over just to try out different weaponry.  The weapons all have for the most part unique attacks as well.  This forces you to use certain weapons at certain times to kill enemies which may be more susceptible to various firearms.  If all else fails, you can always just throw a few blows to enemies with your melee attacks.

One great thing about Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction on the PS3 is that it adds a lot of variety on top of the action-platforming experience.  This variety comes in the form of many different types of game play situations which will have you doing various things with the SIXAXIS controller throughout.  They are basically mini-games which have been worked under the main game play mechanics.  They do so in such a way though that it all remains fresh and does not seem tacked on in the least bit.

Great game and a nice diversion from all the FPS out there, variety is the key. Good review.
