The Call of Duty franchise has always been extremely popular as it was awarded as the most intense war experience you could get in video games for the World War II era. That was the problem though; they were always based in World War II. The last Call of Duty game from Infinity Ward was Call of Duty 2. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is the follow-up game from the highly touted developer, but instead of World War II, they are taking you into modern warfare, and damn is it sweet!
Call of Duty 4 tells one contiguous story as you jump from two different views, the British S.A.S. and the U.S. Marines. There is one single storyline but the two viewpoints intertwine nicely making for an intriguing single-player campaign. The story revolved around a plot by those in the terrorist parts of the world whom have stolen nuclear weapons from

To say that Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a visually impressive game is a complete understatement. From the minute that you jump into your first game you are going to be immediately blown away from everything that this game pumps out visually. This is arguably the best-looking next-gen game to date and really makes use of the power of the next-gen consoles, especially the PS3.
The first thing which must be mentioned with the visuals is the levels which you will be fighting in. The way they are modeled with the interior war-torn buildings to the exterior grass-lands, dirt roads, etc look immaculate. There is a great deal of detail in terms of textures on all of the buildings and surroundings. You will see grass blow on the ground below you as you run towards your enemy. The lighting, shadows, variety, etc. make the levels in Call of Duty 4 some of the best locales for a shooter to date.
The same can be said about the look of the enemies of the game. The soldiers in Call of Duty 4 look phenomenal with great details and color depth used in the textures on the faces of the soldiers, the clothing on their backs, as well as the weaponry. Everything packs detail and smooth animations throughout as you move through buildings, crouch, climb, etc.
