Sony PS3 Blu-ray Remote Control

The controller runs off of two AA batteries and has exceptional battery life unless of course you are a trigger happy Blu-ray viewer. The controller does have a few drawbacks to it though. One of the big complaints that I have with the controller is that it does not work with any other device. It could have been smart for Sony to make the controller more of a universal device to go along with the whole idea of the PlayStation 3 being the center of the home entertainment system. Why not make the official remote control everything around it, as well as the player itself?

Beyond that gripe the design, feel, and size of the controller is all well done. It feels like it was made with very high quality and has the color and font to match that of the PlayStation 3 making it the perfect fit to sit right next to your console when you are not using it.

Sony has this Blu-ray remote set at a very competitive and respectable price point of $24.99 making it accessible to just about any PlayStation 3 owner out there who wants a remote to ease the viewing of Blu-ray movies. The controller could have done more, but it does do enough and greatly eases the menu searching and viewing of flicks when compared to the SIXAXIS controller. If you are an avid Blu-ray movie fan on the PlayStation 3 this is one accessory which you should not pass up.
