The sound effects are where the audio portion of Heavenly Sword truly shines as the attacks are presented with a great deal of power through your subwoofer making for an amazing audio experience. Every kick, punch, throw, etc. is felt here.
The graphics of Heavenly Sword are amazing. The character models of enemies as well as the main character Nariko are fantastic as are the animations which accompany them. The game runs extremely smooth as well.
The levels which you will be fighting in have some amazing scenery as well as a great amount of attention to texturing, detail and draw-distance. Looking over a cliff into the areas below is truly something to be seen and shows off the power of the PS3 nicely.
Heavenly Sword is a solid third-person action game for the PS3 in every way you look at it. The combat system is varied and enjoyable throughout. The visual and audio presentation are some of the best yet on the PS3. The only negatives are that it can get repetitive over time and that beyond the single-player game playing through once, there may not be much to make you come back for more. If you are a God of War fanatic though or just love a good action game, Heavenly Sword is definitely a worthy purchase!

| 9.0 | Sound Just like the visuals, the audio is done extremely well with a very good music score and voice work, and some fantastic sound effects which will rock your sound system! |
| 7.5 | Gameplay The combat system is very fun but can get repetitive due to a lack of variety in the enemies and the type of situations you are placed in. |
| 4.0 | Replay Value Beyond the single-player game there is little to keep you coming back for more. |
| 7.8 | Overall "If you are a God of War fanatic though or just love a good action game, Heavenly Sword is definitely a worthy purchase!" |
