scientists capture antimatter atom
someone in another forum I use gave us a link to this story on how scientists have captured antimatter atoms after years of trying.

it seems like an interesting story.

what do you guys think of it and what kind of uses do you think it will have in society?

discuss your thoughts on it

Anybody but me want to see this used as a weapon? The things friggin destroy anything it touches on contact, imagine carrying a gun around shooting that stuff at it lol.

The question I have, is if they are capable of "creating" it, why do they need to house it? They know what its made of and how to make it, isnt that enough?

I'm honestly kinda afraid of seeing it used as a weapon.
I'm afraid of it being even more disgustingly powerful than the nuclear bomb.
i guess they just wanna see what happens when they house it and learn how to contain it for use

Yeah when you think like that it becomes something bad haha! I just want to see it destroy something like the little bombs in the GI Joe movie because it would be cool to watch lmao!

After that Id be like "K put it away" haha. I'm trying to understand Anti matter research, as of right now I know it doesn't like existing within matter, so its impossible for them to create weapons at this point. However why they want to keep it around is weird, it could possibly destroy the entire planet.

I heard the theory of a co existing universe of anti matter, so i wonder if they are playing with matter lol.
