How Much Would You Pay For an Rare Home Outfit

According to a recent article at PlayStation Lifestyle, some people are willing to pay a lot, recently the Reaper costume available with the pre-order of inFamous sold for $30 and the Killzone 2 outfit that came with pre-order, sold for $66, more than the price of the game itself. So what's your take, might this be a money making opportunity, would you actually pay that much or is this just a waste of money.

Oh, here's the links to the actual closed auctions:

Whaaat, note to self, stop redeeming outfit codes.

Personally I'd never pay more than petty change for this kinda stuff

yeah i presonally think that 1 dollar is to much for new outfits and stuff in that game i mean why do i care what my guy looks like

Obviously some people have some money to burn and aren't paying attention as I believe those codes have expiry dates and I know they are region locked (I found that out the hard way after winning an inFamous T-Shirt code from a European website and trying to redeem the code, I actually had to call Sony to find that out, it doesn't tell you when you try to redeem it) and I'm pretty sure the expiry date isn't 4 months after release, most likely a month or less, probably to prevent resale at such high prices as near release date, they definitely wouldn't fetch this much.

yea i dont know but where do you get the codes and stuff for clothes and stuff? preorders? i doint really look around so i guess i have just never seen them

I never got my InFamous outfit and i never got my damn InFamous blades wth! Im supporting the game everyday yet i get jipped on all this crap lol.

For me id pay nadda. I still walk around home with my standard clothes on....correction i did win a Resistance shirt playing their game so i wear that now.

lol i wear my resident evil 5 shirt i dont remember how i got it but im wearing it and yeah i refuse to buy stuff on there i think it is dumb to buy that crap but Home in general is a pretty cool concept

You know I'm not exactly sure how I got it but I do have an inFamous top, I did redeem my European code but on my EU account so it shouldn't appear on my Canadian account and it doesn't, it's a different shirt but hey who's complaining. If you really are tired of the standard clothes and want to show off your skills, try playing IceBreaker in the bowling alley to level 20, once you finish all 20 levels you have a complete IceBreaker Home outfit to show how good you are (for free) and a trophy for your apartment saying you beat it. It not particularly challenging, just time consuming, I spent half an hour playing it to finish 20 levels. You can also do the same with Echochrome although I don't know how far you have to get to get the outfit, but's it's cool looking and again free.

You get an InFamous costume when you beat the demo, which i did, but never got the costume...

As for the game in the bowling ally they are always taken. Thats why i love Resistance one you dont have to wait, just have to find a way to see the sign through the crowd lol.

That explains it all, usually though in Home I don't have a problem with arcade machines, there's always at least one open (although most of the time it's not an IceBreaker machine) and usually a pool table open or opening within a minute. Bowling lanes though take much longer for an open space to show up, most of the time I left the bowling alley before a space even opens.
