i've seen on a couple other websites that sony is going to make a 80 GB PS3 with all the same features, just bigger HDD, and has anyone heard of price drops in US? if so, how much? i have been wanting a PS3, where i live there is always at least 3 in stock in each different store, but its just how much it costs.

in october sometime ps3 is supposed to drop down $100 from 599 to 499. You can read the article in the news archive april 4, 2007.
