Game: Skate

This is in regards to skate 1, not skate 2.

I bought skate 1...well, cause it's the only version I can find in Indonesia..so far.

I'm having problems with fps, I think. The game play is really shaky and it's making me really dizzy. I honestly can't play more than a few minutes before I get dizzy.

Is there some sort of fix for this? Maybe it plays smoother in HD? I'm just using a regular SD tv.

I have the new model 80gb ps3, new out of the box a few weeks ago. Both the system and game are the same; region 3.
The machine isn't getting hot and I'm not running any sort of third party software; for example, linux.

All my other games run smoothly. It's just skate I'm having a problem with.

The FPS or frames per second wouldn't cause what you're describing, to me it just sounds like a problem with the game itself, some Need for Speed games caused some people to feel sick due to the motion effects they used and from what I remember from the Skate demo there camera setup in the game didn't exactly look like something that's kind to people who might have problems with motion sickness. Skate 2 apparently suffers from the same problems but there is nothing you can do to change this except change your camera angle in game, it's most likely a problem with the game itself and that can't be changed unless EA publishes an update.

yeah I thought about that too. Normally I don't have problems from motion sickness..seems apparent though. I did come across that others had problems with skate 2 as well. I played the skate 2 demo, no problems on there really, mainly on part one. The camera angle is too close and I can't find an option to change it.

thanks for your words
