Someone help me out choosing a camera?
Tony kinda looking at you here lol, but anyone with experience in video cameras can you help me out choosing which one to buy?
Im a wannabe Film Maker one day and i need a camera. Usually im just smooching off my friends camera but he they are being a pain lately and he is now gone to camp for the army, so i cant do that anymore. So i got some money for my bday, and some money ive been saving lately and im looking to get a camera, i just dont know which one. I dont want anything AMAZING, i have farely good editing skills and can make crap film look great. Seriously ive done it before. Though I prefer to not have to do that so severly lol. Im looking for something that can carry me through college until I can afford something better. I also just want it for family things or events, like when i go to Cali. Maybe i could film Comic Con for you guys here at the site too? It needs to be good for uploading to the internet in quality, put it on TV etc. I also would like to keep the "film look" i noticed the Canon models actually have a mode that will do that for you too. In other words i have MAYBE 700 dollars at the most, im poor lol and thats kinda pushing it. Im a fan of Sony's cameras and Cannon, maybe Samsung. Ive found a few, what do you think of these and can you find me better deals or better cameras? Are they good? (no tax on Amazon so i can afford these, plus i get free shipping) http://www.amazon.com/Canon-HF10-Def...990795&sr=1-11 http://www.amazon.com/Canon-VIXIA-AV...5990795&sr=1-9 ($648) http://www.amazon.com/Sony-DCR-SR45-...5991272&sr=1-1 (Really leaning towards this one....) http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-SC-HMX...5991532&sr=1-2 By the way i have absolutely no worries about format it records in or anything. I have TONS of programs that support all the formats there is, so if anything ill just need to convert it or whatever and its no big deal to me. I just dont know what camera is the best of these or if i should get something else? Should i go with film instead? Help me out guys haha.

I think 40x optical zoom takes the win here, that and it is pretty affordable compared
to the other ones. Cnet gave it a solid 3/5 which should do you just fine for your first camera, dont wanna spend to much to find your passions lie elsewhere According to amazon they only have one left, Id pounce if you got things figured out |

I was looking into the Sony one they said dont take zoom into effect and people are constantly comparing it to this one
http://www.amazon.com/Canon-Memory-C...998677&sr=1-15 Its cheaper but it also has a mic jack....However i love Sony products so im debating.

I would suggest, not only in this situation but in others, do not go all in financially on something you are trying your hand at the first time around, try something affordable
with solid reviews in its price bracket |

Yeah i agree as im still tossing around my options, but im completely dedicated to making a movie somehow someway and making it big. I have too many ideas that i cant just not try.
Im pretty much sold on the Sony camera, its just great for the price and i love sony. Its getting decent reviews too. Not too expensive. If its still there tomorrow (as i need to transfer money to my bank) im gonna buy it and toss in a Lavalier Clip-on Microphone with its own base just to cover the lack of an external mic on the camera. Should work fine for my movies. EDIT sweet found a new model with 60GB for only 300 and its sold direct from Amazon.
