Hi guys, anyone of you have an idea on Sony's DAV-HDX585 home theater system? Link to site
 I am looking to buy this system as my primary home theater system, and would like to know if anyone can give me reviews on this product. |

Nice taste man! :D Anyway, you could look on the AVS Forums for a tread about that system, or you could hop over to amazon and check out the reviews there.

Well Amazon is giving it good reviews, out of 9 only one is lower than a 5 and that one is a 4 and from what I can tell it looks like a great system, after all you get the five speakers, subwoofer and receiver and the sound is supposed to be awesome, can't ask for much better.

I bought it today. Sounds awesome... I still have to get a digital audio cable, but even from the co axials it sounds good. I played a blu ray of AVP, and the predator has surpassed a new level of heroism with the awesome sound :)
Will update you after i get the toslink cables. |

I listened to new divide and what i've done by linkin park with the vol on 25.... i i could feel the thump of the woofer on the floor 4-5 m away. :) and the vol can go up to 35 :)
My ps3-lcd tv- home theatre combo is my heaven and the talk of the neighbourhood :) :) :) P.S. How cool is my signature? :) |

i hooked it up using opticals yesterday, sounds really good... i played the dirt 2 demo, and was able to hear the gravel hitting the underside of the car after the tires run over it... that is a first for me since my comp gaming days.
Also, in top spin 3 was able to hear people clapping behind me for every point i scored. Played as nadal against federer, and was able to hear a guy shout "cmon rafael" from behind me, and another guy shout "federer" to the right of me... Yes, i am in heaven |
