Thankfully, I learned one thing from this game, I'm never trusting what one of my online friends says about a game again. I'll stick to good old reviews and game demos. Funny thing too is, I'm not a huge fan of MGS4 either, I don't necessarily regret buying it, since I only paid $30 for it, but it's definitely not one of my favorite games.

How did you pay only 30 bucks

I got it during a Boxing Week sale, although around here, I could get the Collector's Edition for that price now, it's constantly on sale at Futureshop because they can't get rid of them and my local EB Games (well, one of them) has 6 copies for $35 brand new, and the regular one, there's multiple copies of in every game store in town, Blockbuster has over 10 copies here and they can't move them so it's not hard to get the game for that much.

I don't know if I regret a game purchase as I try to do as much research on the game as possible before I buy but I do have a big disappointment and that is Lost Planet for PS3. I haven't bought Bio-Shock and Fallout 3 yet because of Lost Planet was a poorly done port to the PS3.

I'll tell you BioShock is no poorly done port, it is as good as any other version of the game and includes the Survivor mode so if you're really good it's there to challenge you and you can make Survivor even harder by dropping the ability to use Vita Chambers. I played through it twice already and I'll probably do it again, it's just that good. I don't know about Fallout 3 though, I haven't purchased the game yet, or read much about it.

I rented Bioshock and didnt like it at all...Didnt see what the big deal about it was and it became boring to me. People were saying "oh its great like doom was" and ...no it was far from it.

I have the Bioshock demo on my PS3, but I haven't tried it yet, which is very typical of me, but I must agree that Doom was amazing

For BioShock it's the story that makes it amazing, and the graphics aren't bad to boot. Although the story can get repetitive so I can see why some would get bored with it, but it also has amazing moments that make the repetition worth it and make it a great story, plus the story is somewhat adaptive depending on your actions during the game, although it's nothing like the inFamous system.

MSG 4, I loved this game from playing it on my PS2, but what happened here, the graphics are phenomenal as always, but the game sucks

I'm sorry to say blackwasp, but I must disagree with you. In my opinion, the game takes a nice step away from the norm while keeping amazing gameplay features. I actually wish to see more like it! :)

:| CoD 3. I have already gone through the reasons in another thread and feel it is unnecessary to do it all over again. That or I'm just plan lazy, who knows.

A game I am surprised that didn't make the list: Enchanted Arms. I love that game. my play it again at some point. Sure it's crappy at times but it's still awesome to me.

I've heard plenty about COD 3 to know I won't buy it, but I never seen it actually being played, I know I can look it up on YouTube but I haven't felt it was necessary, since just walking into EB Games was enough for me, I remember walking in and seeing 6 or 7 copies of that game used and for me once you see that many copies used, you know something is up with that game that makes people trade it in, especially at EB since you get the lowest amount of money there for your games.
