Super Street Fighter IV Inbound

The rumors and speculation have been confirmed, Capcom has gone on record
and said that 'Super Street Fighter IV' is coming to a store near you Spring 2010

Coming with the game will be tweaks based on community feedback as well
as a expanded roster seeing 8 new characters join the previous ones from the
prior release.

Of the 8, classic characters T. Hawk and Dee Jay will join newcomer Juri.
The game will not be sold at full price and owners of Street Figher IV and
Super Street Fighter IV will get a special bonus.

I was kinda hoping for some SF3TS characters, like Yun and Yang. Kinda disappointed they added THawk, of all characters :\

Well we still have 5 more for them to reveal, I'm no fan of T Hawk either, but gamespot
caught up with Yoshinori Ono who is the SFIV producer and Eventhubs outlined what he had to say

* Super Street Fighter 4 is tentatively set for a spring 2010 release.
* The update will be released on a disc, and won't be available as DLC (Downloadable Content) — but the game will be priced as an upgrade — not a brand new title.
* As this time, they're thinking of adding about 8 characters to the game. (Rumors currently have this pegged at 10 fighters total).
* Capcom is planning on adding more features to the online modes. Things so people can enjoy playing as a group. (Sounds like lobbies are in).
* There will be tweaks and balance changes, along with more online stuff and new features the developers are adding in.
* Bonus Stages aren't 100% confirmed, but it sounds very likely they'll be making it into Super Street Fighter 4.
* You won't need the original disc to play this update, but fans who have a copy of SF4 will be, "happy to have held on to it," as they'll be receiving something nifty.
* Juri is a Korean Tae Kwan Do fighter and is very important to the storyline.
* They skipped "Champion Edition" and "Turbo" and jumped straight to "Super" for the name of this upgrade because of the scale and size of what they're planning.
Some rumored editions are

* The previously leaked characters are all said to be in the game. Dee Jay, T. Hawk, Dudley, Ibuki, Makoto, Adon, Cody and Guy. The new characters are rumored to be:
o Hakan - An Arabic grappler obsessed with oil.
o Juri - Evil Asian girl fighter working for Seth.
* All characters will have two Ultras. They will both be available at one time, not selectable like with Third Strike's Super Arts. The commands to execute your Ultras do not overlap.
o It sounds like the characters from Third Strike are set up with their prior Super Arts. They had three in that game, so one will be their Super and the other two their Ultras.
o Gen has four Ultras because of his two fighting styles. One of these is said to be an Air Ultra.
o All characters still have one Super, except Sakura who apparently has a Shinkuu Hadoken (Super Fireball) as well.
* Some characters will have Air Ultras.
* The Bonus Stages will be returning.
* This will be an exclusive arcade release at least for a few months.
* An official announcement is said to be coming at the Tokyo Game Show and on the Japanese Street Fighter 4 blog soon.
* Expect the return of the many familiar Supers, and a few new ones like Metsu Shoryuken. You'll see the return of Chun-Li's Kikosho (Super Fireball), Gouken's Denjin, Sagat's Tiger Cannon (Super Fireball).
* Ibuki has a run command.
* Guile has his Sonic Hurricane move from Marvel vs. Capcom 2.
* Dudley has his Chain combos from Third Strike, plus one additional Chain combo.
* Cody is the only character with an Alpha Counter and he still has his knife. He supposedly needs his knife to perform one of his Ultras.
* Rufus can cancel-break the last hit of his Spectacle Romance, or the launch kick of Space Opera Symphony.
* Guy has his Chain combos.
* Makoto has her Tanden Renki Super from Third Strike.
* Zangief is said to have a 720 degree motion Air Ultra called the Siberian Blizzard.
* The game takes place one year after Street Fighter 4.
* Dudley was searching for his car in Third Strike, in this game he's searching for a rose.
* T. Hawk's storyline involves him protecting Juni or Juli.
* Dhalsim's new Ultra is called the Yoga Shangri'la.
* There's a new gameplay system called Tadan Saving, the phrase implies a multi-hitting or multiple-level Focus Attack.
* The console characters are all said to be added to the upcoming arcade release, with the possible exceptions of Seth and Gouken.

New info from famitsu courtesy of eventhubs

Famitsu posted a longer piece from their recent interview with Super Street Fighter 4's lead producer, Yoshinori Ono.

experiMILK, Shadow Ace 50 and Takari were kind enough to translate the new article, here's what they gathered.

* The plan is to implement 2-3 characters from each series to Super Street Fighter IV. It's assumed this means 2-3 fighters each from the Alpha and Street Fighter 3 franchises.

* Ono talks a lot about the lack of an arcade version, but he also seems to say that it is not completely out of the question. The translator's opinion of this comment is that if the console version sells well enough, they may put out an arcade version.

* The subject of having two Ultras is danced around, Ono states this knowledge is not ready for the public yet. Famitsu makes a comment that the Roman numerals look very Street Fighter 3ish (selectable) and Ono doesn't seem to refute that statement.

* He confirms that if you bought the costume DLC (Downloadable Content) for the first game, you do not have to buy it again.

* There's a point made about improving the current replay system.

* Ono specifically states that Guile not being able to combo into his Ultra is a problem. (JerseyFame may have a heart attack with this news).
