Some Details on Twisted Metal

Well we all remember one of the big pieces of news at E3 this year was the reveal of a new Twisted Metal game coming to the PlayStation 3 but as revealed by David Jaffe, the game that will now be released wasn't the original vision.

Originally as Jaffe stated in a recent interview with 1UP:

?Well, it started out as a PSN title. It started out as a very small version of Twisted Metal that was not just for the hardcore fans, but it really was like, ?Let?s just do traditional Twisted Metal, but let?s put it on the PSN network?,?

Now I've never played any Twisted Metal games and no I'm not crazy but I missed out on quite a few bigger titles back from the earlier days of PlayStation (God of War, Twisted Metal, ICO, Metal Gear, etc.) but I'm certainly glad to here they went to a full retail release as they just might be able to pull out some new surprises. Plus who knows, maybe this new game will spur me to go play the older ones first but does anyone else like the idea of a full release better or would you have preferred to see a simple PSN release.
Some say he has a long signature and long posts, all we know is he's called X_Racer1.

It does seem like the perfect game to be put on PSN, but a retail release probably means more content and a better game.

Not a big fan of Twisted Metal myself, but if they have a beta, I might try it out.

I played the game at E3, and honestly think its better suited for PSN. It just wasnt large scale at all, graphics were not impressive by any means, and nothing really made me want it more than the fact it had "Twisted Metal" written on it. It even played like the old PS2 ones, just nothing great about it at all. Then again i only got my hands on it for like 5 minutes.
