Comments on WET?

How do you think WET is going to be? I didn't think much about it at the beginning, but knowing that it's picked up by Bethesda, will that improve the game?

Also, played the demo, my eyes started hurting with all the red around...

I havent tried the demo yet, but it doesnt seem to bring anything new to the genre,
I usually stick to devil may cry and God of war for my extreme combat fix.

Ill give it a whirl and wait for some reviews

IMO, the controls are super unintuitive, they should have gone with context sensitive controls, like Mirror's Edge. There's lots of just little things that irk me. Why do I have to wall run an object to scale it instead of just jumping up to grab it? Why do I have to push an unrelated button to use the zipline? Why can't I jump into a slide or jump into a wall run? The controls could have used some major streamlining, and the game kinda forces you to play the way it wants you to play.

That said, the game OOZES style, I'm really digging the presentation. The set pieces are varied(hopefully the demo isn't just a mere vertical slice), the game feels cool when you pull off the different moves, and I love the subject matter. At this point, I don't think I'd pick it up at full price, but I would get it later down the line.

Just tried the demo, the game doesnt hold a candle to GOW or DMC.

Rubi looks like an interesting character but the game itself just doesnt feel as tight
as it should be when you are going for this genre

I dont know about you guys but i loved the demo. Not enough to warrent me buying it (I can see how short the game will be) but it was a pretty badass demo. I wish they didnt force "their" mechanics on you though. When i jump there is sometimes no need for slow mo and i dont always have to wall run to climb a 2 foot wall...

Sounds about right to me, not the greatest game ever, but a pretty solid title.

Love the atmosphere and the way it looked. Really thought Tarantino was in on it. But I'll wait for it to hit bargain bins. Now SmackDown Vs Raw 2010, I WANT.

I say high 7's but mostly low 8's. The game wont be horrible, but it will be easily overshadowed by the AAA games coming out this fall.

We'll, I'm slated to review the game, so stay tuned for our review score. My comments were based only on the demo, so we'll see what happens with the full game.

I sometimes wish Romero and Tarentino didnt make those Grindhouse movies, I think they
can be targeted with bringing them to the forefront of popular culture again and making
us have games themed like this.

As you may tell, Im not a fan of the cheese

IGN lays the smackdown on WET, scores it a 6.6

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/102/1024673p1.html

Sounds about right from what I saw in the demo.

I think its gonna be one of those games i like that never really gets popular. Then you hope they make a sequal but they never do. Kinda like Kill.Switch on PS2....Even at the end of the game they said its not over, yet they never finished it.

Thats what i loved about PS2 though. not EVERYTHING had to be AAA, some games were just pure fun.
