I know what the problem is - the Wii only sells kiddy games - zelda, mario brothers, sonic etc. The Wii is only fun when you have friends round and don't mind standing around waving your arms round like an idiot. I owned one - I sold one and got a PS3, best move I made.

I guess if you need a paperweight or doorstop you are sorted.

Media Entertainment is not just about playing games - it combines music, pictures and video's. When people realise how limiting the Wii is, it will soon lose favour.

Its a shame that Nintendo and Sony did not join together - now imagine that!

My prediction still stands that by the generation after the next one companies will be teaming up with each other.

And about the Wii, everyone has a CD player, everyone has an mp3 player, everyone has a DVD player, very few people have a HDTV and therefore very few people need a blu-ray player. Nintendo made the right decision, not all gaming is about blood, guts and killing people. Everyone (inc. adults) can enjoy a game like Rayman raving rabbids, but 10 years olds can't (and shouldn't) play resistance fall of man.

(please note, when I refer to "everyone", I, of course, do not mean everyone, I mean people who can afford a Wii)

But I'm saying we get media everywhere now, watches with TVs in them. It's a bit unnecessary for the Wii to have stuff crammed in it, making it more expensive and less accessible, quite a few people will buy a ps3 and not use some features, but if they buy a Wii, they can get that stuff elsewhere.

why have so much scatter eveywhere when you can have it all in one package..... I sure everyone who has a ps3 will use all of their features in the span of the ps3 life,........ what when you get tried or take a break from a game you can go to the internet, watch/make picture ablums, or listen to a cd, or watch a moive using blu-ray, wii when you take a break either go check the weather, or news, or the vote channel, or the opera channel, or bascially just turn it off and watch tv, ect..

Get a media centre pc then, it sits where your cable box (or whatever you have) normally goes, plugs into your tv, then there's a wireless keyboard and a remote.

I dont own a Wii and dont plan to own a Wii mainly because the games dont really appeal to me and i had a bad experience with my Gamecube so i dont want to get another Nintendo console that doesnt have any plans for games after the first year.
It is much better only having one box under my TV than the 3(1.dvd player 2.PS2 3.CD player) i used to have before the PS3. Less clutter, less hassle and less wires coming out the TV so it dont look a mess.
