Fallout 3 Help

I'm playing F.O. 3 and I'm up to the bit where you have to go into Jefferson Memorial and clear out the remaining mutants for your dad and the other scientists.

I have done this, and I go to Dad and tell him it's safe, but when I try to re-enter Jefferson Memorial it just goes to the black loading screen and then the whole PS3 freezes and I have to restart it.

I have no idea what to do, can anyone help?

Try deleting the game data for Fallout 3 and reinstalling it, you can delete the game data by going to the Game Data Utility, finding the entry for Fallout 3, pressing Triangle and select Delete (don't worry, your game saves/progress are held elsewhere, the Saved Data Utility). After deleting the game data, start the game and it will install the files over again and hopefully the problem will be solved. Now if you have the Fallout 3 DLC downloaded you will have to redownload the DLC after doing this as well.

Okay I did that, it's still not working. That time it 'loaded' longer before freezing though.

this happened to me a while back. the only thing to do is start over and make sure you save frequently and use 2 different save slots just in case. fo3 is a great game but us ps3 owners got the shaft on quality

Do you have a slightly older save? I always try and keep at least 2 save files nowadays, I almost messed up my Heavy Rain save at one point.
