Japanese PSN reveals new LittleBigPlanet DLC
Posted on November 10, 2008 by Nikhil

Little Big Planet DLC is rolling out slowly but surely. Its first week after launch saw the American PSN receive the addition of 2 new Sackboy costumes. The European PSN got slightly more content, with a MotorStorm costume, “Rare Week-1” t-shirt, and free space suit. However, there is undoubtedly more to come for all regions, and the Japanese PSN may provide a glimpse of what may shortly hit the US and EU.

An image on the JP PSN indicates 5 upcoming Sackboy costumes: a chameleon, shark, penguin, gorilla, and Toro are all set to release later this week in Japan. It’s likely that all these costumes (except for Toro, who is the main character from Mainichisshyo) will debut in the US and EU PSN in the upcoming weeks.

This is exciting news for LBP owners, as it would seem that Media Molecule is hard at work keeping the game fresh with new content. We can only hope that they will keep the price of DLC low, considering the commotion that the expensive “Rare” t-shirt caused. In the future, it would be great to see extra levels and editor items in addition to Sackboy outfits. The release of some free DLC in addition to paid content would also go a long way to building lasting support for the game.

Yeah, all the costumes are pretty cool, but like you said, It' would be much better to see new levels come out. I mean, what the hell will costumes give you if there's no more levels for you to check them out. I'd actually rather see new levels than new costumes, I don't even think I'd pay for new costumes! No wonder Gears of War 2 is doing better, they don't need to start sellling new costumes to make the game any better, the game is sick by it self. Thats the kind of games you gotta make, that's when Reesistance 2 comes into play to take down GOW 2! Can't wait to see what it looks like? Is there a demo out yet, I dont remember seeing one?
