Capcom has just sent out a press release indicating that Bionic Commando will be hitting the PS3 and 360 sometime and May, with a PC release due in the following months.
After a near 20 year hiatus, Capcom has finally revived it's NES classic, Bionic Commando. The retro title gained popularity for it's difficulty and unique grappling mechanic. Nathan Spencer couldn't jump, an unusual choice for a platformer. Instead, he uses his bionic arm to grapple and swing across gaps.
Bionic Commando looks to revitalize the franchise, bringing back the swinging mechanic and expanding on it, allowing it to be use also as a weapon. Capcom is also giving it a few other updates, including online multiplayer.
While you're waiting for the title to hit and May, check out the remake of the original title on PSN, Bionic Commando Rearmed.
