"No change" to Killzone 2's Controls
Posted on March 2, 2009 by Erik

Recently, on various gaming forums, there has been much discussion and heated debate regarding the control scheme for Guerrilla Game's Killzone 2 Playstation 3 exclusive.

After thoroughly analysing the current controls and taking into account user feedback, Guerrilla Game's Seb Downie stated that "there are no changes required to the system.”

His reasoning? A massive change to the control scheme would have the effect of throwing those that have adapted or just don't have an issue "out of whack."

Beyond that, Downie stated that Killzone 2 was a more deliberate experience than the first Killzone, focusing more on an immersive, tactical experience.

Downie did note however, that the controls for the online component of Killzone 2 have been teaked to provide players with a faster smoother gameplay experience.

This is interesting, I am one of those players who is having a hard time adapting to the control scheme. A variety of different control schemes would be really interesting but at the same time, the more i play the more im getting use to it. If they happen to add the option to change your controls im afraid it would already be too late for me.

True, I'm already very good with the game, I don't want them to change them. But they should have done that from the beginning.
