If you've played the updated and revised Bionic Commando for the PS3 and liked it (it was good), then you may be surprised to hear this:
The research firm NPD Group revealed the sales figures for Capcom's much hyped Bionic Commando. According to the firm, the game sold a mere 27,000 copies in the U.S. between its release date, May 19, 2009, and the conclusion of the month. NPD said that it could not disclose how many copies sold were for the PlayStation 3, but only that the 27,000 figure applies to sales across both platforms.
It is disappointing for Capcom because well, its CAPCOM, and the Bionic Commando franchise has been around since the old NES days (and I'm talking the first run NES, not the revamped one) and has a history. Add to that the fact that Bionic Commando Rearmed was released as a precursor to the game and SOLD BETTER and you've got a recipe for at least a few down faces.
