Activision has released details about getting tickets to the upcoming Call of Duty XP event. The event at first sounds like its simply a tournement for you to enter and be apart of, but its much more than that. This is more like a Call of Duty amusement park and the price per ticket proves it.
Anyone attending the event will get all kinds of goodies to explore if they are a Call of Duty fan. The event is taking place in a Hangar and will be completely geared towards making Call of Duty come to life. You will get to run real life courses, along with compete for prizes, and try to place for the upcoming online tournement. Might I also add you will get to be one of the first people (other than E3 attendees) to play Modern Warfare 3? That all sounds exciting!
However the price tag to get in is what turned me away. 150 dollars per ticket, yes I typed that correctly, one hundred and fifty dollars to get into this event. That doesn't include costs of food and drink either. Is it worth it? Well if you have 150 dollars laying around, are over the age of 18, and have access to LA by all means its worth it. However for the casual fans and those that would rather shell the money out on a theme park....well I wish the price was somewhere around 80, or at least give all attendees free copies of MW3.
