Today’s firmware 2.01 update seems to be causing problems in the online modes of Call of Duty 4 according to a barrage of posts by users on game’s official forums.

It should be noted that this is conjecture at this point, as it could just be that the game servers have gone down, but it would be an ironic twist if the stability-issue-fixing firmware update ended up breaking one of the most popular PS3 games at the moment.
