It seems that Jade Raymond, the producer of Assasin’s Creed, may not be sticking around for the sequel.

A recent quote from Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has virtually confirmed this.

He spoke to GameDaily, saying "I view Jade as a very skilled and creative producer, the success of Assassin’s Creed leaves no doubt about that and the attention she received from the media is due to the anticipation, buzz and quality of the game. She’s currently working on a new project but it’s a little too early to share more about it."

So it seems that there may be no Assasin’s Creed 2 in the future of Jade Raymond.

That does not mean that the franchise itself would no continue, as the story ended, leaving it wide open for a sequel.
