One of the biggest complaints about Factor 5’s PS3 debut title was the poor level of SIXAXIS controls.

"Lair uses the SIXAXIS controls exclusives to fly the dragons meaning that no matter how much you want to use them, you are not allowed to use the analog sticks to fly the dragons.  This would not be a problem if the SIXAXIS controller worked well, but unfortunately it is not precise enough for this type of game playor experience.   There will be times when the controller may be too sensitive with movements and then other times it may not respond to what you are commanding it to do at all." said Victor D’Angelo from PS3center.net.

According to IGN.co.uk, Sony Japan has announced today some new details on a free update for Lair.

The update is said to offer the ability to show a targeting icon,  Dual Shock 3 rumble support and most importantly, Analog Controls.

Additional free downloads will be available for the game as well. Lair owners will soon be able to download the Wind Dragon and Poison Dragon. A few new themes are also to be scheduled for launch to spruce up the PS3’s main interface.

The update is scheduled to hit Japan on April 17th and is expected hit worldwide either at the same time or soon after.
