Factor 5’s co-founder stated that the upcoming action title for the Sony PlayStation 3 Lair is almost complete as 90% of the game is in place.

Those who thought that there was still a very long wait for the highly anticipated Lair are completely wrong as the game is very far along in development.  The game was in very early staged on the PlayStation 3 back at TGS 2006 as was the PS3 but since then the game has grown immensely.

Factor 5 co-founder and President Julian Eggebrecht spoke to Game Informer and revealed that the game is actually 80-90% complete now.

"Basically, by all definitions, pretty much everything is there. Now it’s optimization and really getting the difficulty curve right and really getting everything tweaked right. All of the systems are there. All of the unlocking-everything is there," said Eggebrecht. "Would I want to give it to you? No, because it needs to be tweaked right. It’s a 80-90%, but those last 10% are actually the hardest ones-because they’re going to make the game really perfect or not so."

Now the question remains, when will Lair be released?  There is no telling yet when it will actually launch on the next-generation Sony platform as the co-founder stated that the game will be released when Sony wants to release it so it may be likely that Sony holds on to this blockbuster game for the strategic right time to put it out.
